Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital Receives Magnet Recognition Dear Colleagues, We are very proud to congratulate our colleagues at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital on achieving Magnet recognition on July 29. They are the third Johns Hopkins Medicine hospital to achieve this prestigious honor, joining The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Suburban Hospital. This designation, which is held by fewer than 8% of U.S. hospitals, affirms nursing excellence and the highest level of professional nursing practice. In its announcement yesterday, the Magnet Commission cited three examples of transformational leadership and exemplary practice. This is a tribute to the compassionate patient- and family-centered care provided by the nurses at All Children’s Hospital. This week’s announcement underscores their commitment to a culture of excellence. We share our congratulations with the nurses, staff and leadership at All Children’s Hospital and our appreciation for the care they provide to patients, families and their community. We invite you to watch the video and share their pride. Sincerely, Paul B. Rothman, M.D. Kevin W. Sowers, M.S.N., R.N., F.A.A.N. Deborah J. Baker, D.N.P., A.C.N.P., N.E.A.-B.C. |
