Jacqueline Schultz Named President of Suburban Hospital Dear Colleagues, The Suburban Hospital board of trustees voted on Wednesday to appoint Jacky Schultz, who has been serving as the interim president, to the position of president of Suburban Hospital, effective Aug. 15. Below is a communication sent to the Suburban Hospital community. Sincerely, Paul B. Rothman, M.D. Ronald R. Peterson To the Suburban Hospital community Dear Colleagues, We are very pleased to announce that the Suburban Hospital board of trustees voted on Wednesday to appoint our own Jacky Schultz to the position of president of Suburban Hospital, effective Aug. 15. The board made the appointment after completing a national search for the post. With more than 30 years in the health care industry, including 11 years at Suburban Hospital, Jacky brings a broad range of clinical and administrative expertise to her new role. Her talent for building coalitions, leading in complex environments, and leveraging her extensive institutional and clinical knowledge have immensely benefited our patients, the hospital and the Johns Hopkins Medicine family. Since assuming the role as Suburban's interim president last October, Jacky has shown visionary leadership and operational direction that ensured the hospital continued to provide the highest-quality patient- and family-centered care. Her collaborative style and exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills will continue to help us enhance employee and physician engagement and patient outcomes. At Suburban, Jacky has served as the chief nursing officer, senior vice president for patient care, senior vice president for clinical operations, executive vice president and chief operating officer. Prior to joining Suburban Hospital, Jacky worked with Saint Barnabas Health Care System as vice president of patient care services, and as administrative director of patient care services and director of case management/nursing quality with Monmouth Medical Center. Jacky earned her bachelor's degree from Cornell University and her master's degree in nursing from Seton Hall University. Jacky's administrative experience and the well-earned respect of the board, her colleagues and the medical staff will help her continue to advance the mission of the hospital and Johns Hopkins Medicine. Sincerely, Ronald R. Peterson Howard Gleckman
