Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
Over the past year, I have found myself thinking time and again about the deep and abiding connection between Johns Hopkins and the city we call home.
Our university's commitment to Baltimore was essential to our founding mission and remains inextricably part of who we are.
As we celebrate with family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors, this season offers a chance to reflect on the year that's been — the difficulties and joys alike — and to look forward with optimism, gratitude, and anticipation to the promise of the new year.
As ever, I'm so grateful for your energy, creativity, and unwavering pursuit of discovery. I am especially proud of and thankful for your willingness to share that energy and creativity with our city.
It is in that spirit that we created this year's thank you video. I hope you enjoy it.
