Sept. 24, 2015: Support the American Heart Association Walk Dear Colleagues: As many of you know, Johns Hopkins Medicine has a long tradition as a leader and supporter of the American Heart Association and its Greater Baltimore Heart Walk. The national voluntary health organization aims to reduce disability and death from heart ailments—a goal that resonates with our institution. And the AHA's annual walk raises transformative sums to advance those efforts. I want to thank you for all your time and dedication over the past several years, demonstrating the pivotal role Johns Hopkins plays in support of this event. Together, we ARE making a difference in the fight against heart disease and stroke. Building on those triumphs, we urge you to support the 2015 Greater Baltimore Heart Walk. This year, Johns Hopkins has a goal to raise $100,000 or more in support of the AHA's mission. This year's walk takes place on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Camden Yards Sports Complex.
