Feb. 15, 2015: Dr. Daniele Rigamonti Named Chief of Staff (Medical) for Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare Dear Colleagues, We are pleased to announce that Dr. Daniele Rigamonti, director of stereotactic radiosurgery at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and professor of neurological surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, has been named chief of staff (medical) and head of neurosurgery for Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare, effective March 8. Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare, a joint venture between Johns Hopkins Medicine and Saudi Aramco, a world leader in energy, is designed to strengthen the system and establish population health strategies for Saudi Aramco's 350,000 employees, beneficiaries and retirees. In his new role in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Rigamonti will lead Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare's physician leadership in the development of the organization's strategic clinical vision. He also will provide clinical affairs direction and administration to ensure compliance with Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare strategic initiatives and the realization of quality, cost-effective health services. Dr. Rigamonti has spent more than 20 years with Johns Hopkins, having served as professor of neurosurgery, oncology, radiation oncology and molecular radiation sciences, and radiology and radiological science, and as director of the Department of Neurosurgery's stereotactic radiosurgery, hydrocephalus and pseudotumor cerebri programs. This experience will serve him well as he continues to build programs and relationships between clinicians at Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare and their counterparts at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Rigamonti is also an accomplished clinician-researcher, with nearly 200 published articles and two published books.
