The Influenza Vaccination Requirement Deadline Has Been Extended To all of Johns Hopkins Medicine Colleagues, We thank those of you who have received your flu shot and supported our efforts to improve patient safety by complying with the Johns Hopkins Medicine mandatory influenza vaccination program. Because there was a period of time when the supply of flu vaccine was insufficient, and in an effort to assure that everyone has the opportunity to be vaccinated, our Influenza Vaccination Oversight Committee has extended the deadline for compliance to Friday, Dec. 13, for those covered by the program. This extension does not apply to those of you who have applied for a medical or religious exception. Administrative actions for those who are not in compliance will begin Tuesday, Dec. 17. To help with the process, Occupational Health Services is providing additional influenza vaccination clinics. Influenza activity has begun, and in an effort to protect your family at home and in our institutions, we encourage you to receive your vaccination as soon as possible. Please visit hopkinsmedicine.org/mandatoryflu for vaccination information, including links to dates and locations for the remaining vaccination clinics throughout Johns Hopkins Medicine. We appreciate your commitment to protect our patients, employees, faculty, physicians, staff, students and yourself. Paul B. Rothman, M.D. Ronald R. Peterson |
