New Required Training on Compliance Awareness To Johns Hopkins Medicine Faculty, Staff, Students and Trainees Dear Colleagues, All of us play a critical role in ensuring that Johns Hopkins' standards of excellence are maintained. As such, each of us has a responsibility to act with integrity and honesty and to comply with all the laws, regulations, policies and other standards that apply to our jobs. To help you better understand this role, the Johns Hopkins Compliance Office has developed a new compliance awareness training program on the My Learning platform. This eight-minute presentation provides an overview of our Johns Hopkins Medicine compliance programs and guidance on how and when to report suspected wrongdoing or violations. All current Johns Hopkins Medicine faculty, staff, students and trainees are required to complete this training by Sept. 30, 2013, and thereafter annually. New workforce members will receive this training at the start of their employment. This compliance-awareness course is a new requirement for everyone and does not replace any other online compliance course required by your position. To access the course using a JHED ID:
If you have any questions or need assistance related to the training module, you can contact Martha Weiner, senior director of the School of Medicine Office of Johns Hopkins Physicians, Office of Billing Quality Assurance, at codingpro@jhmi.edu or Laura Callahan Mezan, chief compliance officer for the Johns Hopkins Health System Office of Corporate Compliance at compliance_training@jhmi.edu. Thank you for your commitment. Paul B. Rothman, M.D. Ronald R. Peterson |
