Important radiation oncology integration news

Dear Colleagues,

Today marks a momentous occasion as Suburban Hospital’s radiation oncology practice, along with all its staff members, are now directly integrated with the Johns Hopkins Department of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences. This is a critical first step as we move to offer clinical trials and services across our expanding health care delivery system.

In addition, it gives me great pleasure to welcome Stephen Greco, Susan Stinson and Laurie Herscher to our attending physician team. These accomplished leaders of Suburban’s Radiation Oncology Center are key to our collaborative efforts. Stephen, Susan and Laurie are highly respected in the community and are the perfect partners. We will be working together to expand the delivery of Hopkins medicine to the patients, referring physicians and all our neighbors in the National Capital Region.

This growth would not be possible without the work of countless others. I would especially like to express appreciation to Paige McMillan, Regina Johnson, Caira Wallace, Cheryl Harrigan and Jerry Galiatsatos, who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure a seamless transition for our patients and our department. I would also like to thank Fadi Saadeh, Steve Greco, Susan Stinson, Laurie Herscher and Dave Miller for their leadership in this important transition.

I look forward to working with all of you as we continue to blend academic and community medicine to further our mission of excellence in clinical care, research and education.
