November 12, 2003 Dear Colleague: You will receive communications in the future related specifically to our new structure. However at this point in time, I am very pleased to announce that Phase I will go into effect this week with the promotions of Bonnie Alterwitz and Mary Carole Kirkpatrick and the appointment of Sharon Kemp and Harry Snow. These four individuals will play a key role in our new structure. Bonnie Alterwitz has served as the Director, Career Services for the past nine years and has worked at Hopkins for twenty-three years. Bonnie will be promoted to Senior Director, Human Resources. This is in recognition of Bonnie's increasing responsibilities once our services are realigned and as well as her role as Director of Intrastaff. Intrastaff is Hopkins' temporary agency that fills many of our nursing and non-nursing agency positions. Mary Carole Kirkpatrick has been the Manager, Health and Welfare for almost ten years. She will become Director, Health and Welfare and will take on other expanded duties in the reorganization. Sharon Kemp has been the Acting Manager of Compensation for the past eight months and will assume the role of Director of Compensation. She has fifteen years in experience in Compensation and has been at Hopkins for the past year and a half. Harry Snow has been the Acting Director of Employee Labor Relations for the past nine months and has been at Hopkins for four and a half years. Harry will serve as the Director, Human Resource Consultants and Labor Relations. Dennis Hoban, Manager of Career Services, will also be taking on new responsibility with the reorganization. I am very excited about the upcoming changes for our department. Please be on the look out for future communications that will keep you up to date on our reorganization. Please join me in congratulating all these individuals. Pamela Paulk |
