Johns Hopkins is Taking Part in Multicity Pride Events To the Johns Hopkins community We are pleased to announce that as part of Johns Hopkins' recognition of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month in June, the university and health system will participate in Pride events in Baltimore, Maryland; St. Petersburg, Florida; and Washington, D.C. This is the third consecutive year that Johns Hopkins is taking part in multicity Pride events. Each year, Johns Hopkins' Pride presence has grown tremendously. From five marchers in 2016 to colorful crowds of about 400 last year across the enterprise, our staff members, faculty members and students have continued to show strong support for and solidarity with the LGBTQ communities we serve. As our participation in Pride celebrations has grown over the years, so has our focus on providing valuable resources at the events. Johns Hopkins volunteers and health experts will pass out educational materials relevant to the LGBTQ community, including information about the care needs and health risks unique to LGBTQ people. Here's a short video that captures the spirit of our participants at Pride events. We invite you to be a part of 2019 Pride events. Here's how: Parades and festivals will occur on the following weekend dates in June:
