Please Be Sure You Have Complied with the JHH Training Requirement by Friday, Nov. 3 To Johns Hopkins Hospital employees Dear Colleagues, With delivering safe, compassionate, quality care to our patients a key component of our mission, we would like to thank the Johns Hopkins Hospital staff members, nurses and other providers who have taken the mandatory myLearning course Communication Services for Patients, Family and Friends: Best Practices in the Use of Interpreter Services. We want our patients to feel safe and supported. This online training familiarizes each of us with our responsibilities regarding interactions with patients who have limited English proficiency (LEP), who are deaf or hard of hearing, or who are blind or visually impaired. No hospital employee is exempt from this policy and regulatory training requirement. If you have not taken this training, you have until Friday, Nov. 3, to do so. Just log into my.jh.edu to access myLearning and look for the course under My Plan. The deadline will not be extended. Volunteers are also required to take the training. If you supervise or manage a volunteer, please share this communication with them, and ensure that they take the course before Friday, Nov. 3. Sincerely, Redonda G. Miller, M.D., M.B.A. Kris Lukish
