New Privacy and Security Training

To employees of Howard County General Hospital, Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Sibley Memorial Hospital, Suburban Hospital and The Johns Hopkins Hospital

Building on its commitment to keep health and other sensitive information safe, Johns Hopkins Medicine wants to ensure that workforce members understand their responsibilities as they relate to maintaining the privacy and security of such information.

Starting March 1, all Johns Hopkins Medicine workforce members will be required to complete annual training on patient privacy, information security and data management. Two new, condensed courses have been developed to efficiently communicate relevant and important information to best protect Johns Hopkins Medicine information. To streamline the training process, all workforce members will take the same two courses, and the courses will be automatically assigned. You will be receiving an email from the myLearning system once the courses have been assigned, so please be sure to look out for the email in the coming weeks.

Both courses need to be completed by March 30.

For questions regarding these courses, please contact hipaa-training@jhmi.edu or 410-614-9900.

Thank you for your cooperation.

If you are a Johns Hopkins HealthCare or Johns Hopkins Home Care Group workforce member, your privacy and security training will be rolled out and managed separately.
