Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians To the Johns Hopkins Medicine Community Dear Colleagues, At Johns Hopkins Medicine, we continuously explore innovative ways to deliver the highest quality, safest and most cost-effective care to patients. Toward this aim, we established Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians (JHRP) in early 2017. The goal of this organization is to better serve our patients by expanding Johns Hopkins Medicine's clinical footprint and growing our referral network through an integrated delivery system of high-value community practices. All community practices that become members of JHRP establish a relationship with the corresponding School of Medicine department in which those specialty services are offered, such as neurology, orthopaedics or otolaryngology. A designated team from that Johns Hopkins department provides clinical oversight, and the JHRP practices abide by quality, safety and service standards established through the Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality. Although their physicians and staff members become Johns Hopkins Health System employees, they do not become members of the department providing oversight. Incorporating the tagline "a member of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians," the practices retain their original names and identities. On April 1 of this year, Cardiovascular Specialists of Central Maryland (CSCM) was the first to join JHRP. Today we are pleased to announce that ENTAA Care—a group of otolaryngologists, audiologists, allergists/immunologists, physical therapists and speech-language pathologists practicing in five locations throughout Maryland—has become the second practice to do so. Both CSCM and ENTAA Care offer Johns Hopkins Medicine access to community providers who share in our passion for creating value while delivering the very best in patient care. Through these collaborations, more patients gain access to our specialized services, clinical trials and advancements in medicine. For these reasons and more, we are very pleased that these practices are now part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine family. Sincerely, William A. Baumgartner, M.D. Kim Sherbrooke
