Johns Hopkins Advantage MD Group Plan Now Available to Medicare-Eligible Health System Retirees

To: Employees of The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System Corporation, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Howard County General Hospital, the Center for Ambulatory Surgery, Sibley Memorial Hospital, Suburban Hospital, Johns Hopkins Medicine International, Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, Johns Hopkins HealthCare and Johns Hopkins Home Care Group

If you are planning for retirement, selecting a health care plan is probably something you are considering. Johns Hopkins HealthCare has announced that the Johns Hopkins Advantage MD Group plan will be offered as a retirement benefit to eligible retirees of the following Johns Hopkins Health System entities beginning in April: The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System Corporation, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Howard County General Hospital, the Center for Ambulatory Surgery, Sibley Memorial Hospital, Suburban Hospital, Johns Hopkins Medicine International, Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, Johns Hopkins HealthCare and Johns Hopkins Home Care Group.

Johns Hopkins Advantage MD Group is an all-in-one Medicare Advantage plan created exclusively for Johns Hopkins Health System retirees. The plan is available to retirees with at least 10 years of service who will retire on or after age 55. Medicare-eligible spouses and dependents are also eligible.

Coverage includes:

• Visits to primary care providers and specialists
• Inpatient hospitalization
• Coverage for prescription drugs
• Vision, dental and hearing benefits
• Expanded podiatry and acupuncture benefits
• Membership in the Silver&Fit fitness program

The Advantage MD Group service area currently includes the following Maryland counties: Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Calvert, Carroll, Howard, Montgomery, Somerset, Washington, Wicomico and Worcester. The service area will expand to include all Maryland counties in 2018.

With Advantage MD Group, members remain part of the Johns Hopkins family, even in retirement.
