Together, Let Us Change the Odds for Families and Communities Dear Colleagues, What does family mean to you? For Alyssa, a fourth-grade student at Sandy Plains Elementary School in Baltimore, family is "a safe place where people care for you and where they love you." The 2016 Johns Hopkins Medicine United Way campaign is our opportunity to change the odds for families and communities. Please consider contributing to this year’s campaign, which begins today, Thursday, Oct. 13, and continues through Dec. 16. Funds raised from our annual campaign help ensure that people have stable jobs, families have a safe place to call home and access to healthy meals and health care, and students like Alyssa succeed in school and stay on track to graduate. Make a donation today and join your colleagues from across Johns Hopkins Medicine in our commitment to the communities we serve. You can select the organization that will benefit from your contribution. You can donate to the United Way of Central Maryland general fund; a specific program, like the Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund; a community fund that supports your hometown; or any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization of your choice, including eligible Johns Hopkins departments and programs. Together, we are making a difference for families and communities. Visit hopkinsmedicine.org/unitedway for updates throughout the campaign. Thank you for your generosity and support. Sincerely, Paul B. Rothman, M.D. Ronald R. Peterson Justin McArthur, M.B.B.S. Redonda G. Miller, M.D., M.B.A. |
