Patient Experience, Health Care Equity to Be Discussed at Dec. 13 Johns Hopkins Medicine Town Meeting

To the Johns Hopkins Medicine community

Patient- and family-centered care will be the focus of the last Johns Hopkins Medicine Town Meeting of the year, which will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13, from noon to 1 p.m. in Hurd Hall. Paul B. Rothman, dean of the medical faculty and CEO of Johns Hopkins Medicine, and Ronald R. Peterson, president of the Johns Hopkins Health System and executive vice president of Johns Hopkins Medicine, will share an update about progress on the Strategic Plan.

Deborah Baker, senior vice president for nursing for the Johns Hopkins Health System, will engage attendees and others in a conversation on health care equity and cultural competence, the patient experience, and providing safe, quality care. Panel members include:

  • Lisa Allen, chief patient experience officer for Johns Hopkins Medicine
  • Lisa Cooper, vice president of health care equity for Johns Hopkins Medicine
  • Richard Dean, a member of the Johns Hopkins Hospital oncology unit’s Patient and Family Advisory Council
  • Holley Farley, a nurse clinician with the hospitalist unit at The Johns Hopkins Hospital

We are allotting 20 minutes for attendees to ask questions and share suggestions and comments. If you have a question you would like to submit, please email it before the meeting to townhall@jhmi.edu. Time allowing, the facilitator will ask the panelists to respond to some of the emailed questions.

For your convenience, if you are not able to attend the meeting, you will be able to view it live online or watch an on-demand recording. See the instructions here.
