KSAS Dean Search

Dear Faculty:

As you know, Dan Weiss, the James B. Knapp Dean of the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, will be stepping down on June 30 to assume the presidency of Lafayette College. Adam Falk, who has been serving as dean of the faculty, will serve as interim dean and is in place in that role now, working in partnership with Dean Weiss.

We have launched a national search for a successor to Dean Weiss. I have appointed a search committee, chaired by Provost Steven Knapp, to identify and evaluate candidates for presentation to me and the Board of Trustees. The committee includes Krieger School faculty and students and two faculty members from other schools. A list of members is at the bottom of this message.

The committee welcomes any nominations you may wish to make or any suggestions you may have regarding sources of information that might assist us in establishing as broad, diverse, and distinguished a pool of candidates as possible.
