Dermatology Director to Change

Dear Colleagues:

Dr. Daniel Sauder has advised me of his plan to resign as chairman of the Department of Dermatology to pursue a career outside the institution. While Dr. Sauder will remain the official chair until 6/30/05, with his concurrence I have appointed Bernard A. Cohen, M.D. as interim chair while a search is initiated for a new chair. Dr. Sauder and Dr. Cohen will begin immediately on the transition to new leadership so that the transition is as smooth as possible to the department. We appreciate Dr. Sauder's dedication to the institution and his many contributions including the achievement of financial profitability and a number of important initiatives including the development of a highly successful multidisciplinary cosmetic center, a photophoresis unit, and a premier research team.
